Organization data: If you represent a rescue organization, we collect org name, contact info, logo, and related details.
Payment information: When making donations, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, device type, and browser information collected automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
Display cat profiles, help requests, and activity feeds to the community.
Show your public profile to other users in your region.
Process donations through Stripe Connect.
Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, notifications you opt into).
Analyze usage patterns to improve the product.
Respond to your inquiries and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following cases:

Public profiles: Your display name, username, avatar, and region are visible to other users. Cat profiles you create are publicly viewable.
Service providers: We use third-party services (Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for media storage, Neon for database hosting, Vercel for hosting) that process data on our behalf.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers in the United States using Neon (PostgreSQL) and Cloudflare R2. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and rate limiting. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and update your personal information through your account settings.
Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
Opt out of non-essential emails through notification preferences.
Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
