Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OnlyCats (“the Service”), operated at onlycats.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OnlyCats is a platform for the cat rescue community that provides tools for managing cat profiles, health records, foster coordination, help requests, donations, and community engagement. The Service is currently in beta and features may change.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service (photos, text, health records, etc.). By uploading content, you grant OnlyCats a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content as part of the Service, including:

• Displaying cat profiles and photos publicly.
• Sharing help requests with the community.
• Generating social media posts on your behalf (with your approval).

You represent that you have the right to upload all content you submit and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information about cats, organizations, or rescue activity.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Impersonate any person or organization.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
• Use the Service to promote animal cruelty or neglect.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without permission.

6. Donations

Donations made through the Service are processed by Stripe and go directly to the designated rescue organization via Stripe Connect. OnlyCats facilitates the transaction but does not hold or manage donated funds. Donation refund policies are determined by the receiving organization. OnlyCats is not responsible for how organizations use donated funds.

7. Organizations

Organizations listed on OnlyCats are responsible for the accuracy of their own profiles, contact information, and adoption/foster processes. OnlyCats does not vet, endorse, or guarantee any organization. Users should exercise their own judgment when interacting with organizations on the platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not liable for the accuracy of health records, cat profiles, or other user-submitted content. The Service is in beta and may contain bugs or incomplete features.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnlyCats and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damages related to animal welfare decisions made based on information from the Service.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
